Across Texas, hundreds of thousands of citizens are building better lives through self-employment.  In many areas, these “micro” entrepreneurs are leading efforts to revitalize our communities.  With your help, ACCION Texas can bring the power of business credit to even more microentrepreneurs.  Your contribution will directly impact our clients and will give them the assistance they need to stabilize and grow their businesses.  Your donations will also help cover the administrative costs associated with the lending process.  Already, small businesses have access to loans from ACCION Texas in Austin, Houston, San Antonio, El Paso, Dallas, Fort Worth, Corpus Christi, Laredo, and the Rio Grande Valley.  With innovative programs and the newest microlending technologies, we are committed to bringing credit and business services to even more Texans who support their families through microenterprise.  Please join our efforts to invest in people.

ABOUT SECURE ONLINE GIVING

You can make secure credit card donations in confidence over the Internet with any browser that supports the "https" security protocol. Most browsers in use today support this secure protocol including: Microsoft Internet Explorer, Netscape Navigator, AOL's version 3 and above, Compuserve, Prodigy, Opus and others. If your browser does not support https, you will get an error message when trying to access the donation form. When you are connected to our secure server, we can send and receive private information across the public Internet. Your name, address and credit card donation is encrypted (scrambled) using the Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) specification. This encryption is performed on your computer before your information is sent over the Internet. Once your data reaches our secure server, it is un-encrypted and we can process the data. You can ensure that you are in secure (encrypted) mode quickly and easily. Most browsers provide an indicator that confirms that you are in secure mode. This is usually a gold padlock or gold key in the status bar of your browser. In addition, the (URL) address of the site will change from "http://" to "https://" the "S" indicates that your connection is secure. This and other technologies are utilized to help ensure donation information cannot be intercepted while in transit on the Internet and that it reaches its destination in a timely and secure manner.
